Ammann: Innovative ways to compaction at RATL 2025 in Karlsruhe
Ammann sets new standards in compaction
Compaction with vision: At RATL 2025, Ammann is not only bringing technology to the construction site, but also visions. Visitors can expect a machine portfolio that combines performance, sustainability, and smart technologies – ready for the construction site of tomorrow.
When the construction industry meets at RecyclingAktiv & TiefbauLive (RATL) in Karlsruhe in October, Ammann Verdichtung GmbH will be there with its forward-looking compaction machines. Trade fair visitors can expect to see well-designed product developments in classic compactors such as attachment compactors, rollers, and vibratory plates, as well as low-emission electric compactors. Ammann will be presenting its powerful compaction solutions for every challenge in road construction and landscaping on the newly developed outdoor exhibition grounds and the electric mobility demonstration area.
"Some of our machines will be in operation at the stand," says Thilo Ohlraun, Ammann Sales Manager for Germany. "We will also be presenting our latest developments in electric vibratory plates in the electric mobility demonstration area, such as the reversible eAPR 20/40 and our 750 kg fully hydrostatic compaction plate eAPH 70/95, the heaviest electric machine in its weight class and the first in the industry." Visitors to the Ammann stand will be able to examine and try out the entire range of Ammann electric compactors in detail. These include the eATR 68 rammer and the eAPF 12/40, eAPF 15/50 and eAPR 20/40 vibratory plates. Ammann offers the electric models with different engines and charging systems from Honda and DeWalt. Contractors will also receive in-depth information and advice on charging and battery technology, range, charging times, and battery strategies.
Special attention should be paid to the newly developed APA 90/110 and APA 110/110 attachment compactors. With two modes, the new models offer high impact force and impressive area coverage with the proven three-shaft exciter, while at the same time featuring a more compact design. All components, such as hydraulic hoses, valves, etc., are protected in the newly designed housing. A completely new technology with worm gear ensures that the attachment compactor no longer turns away under load thanks to a mechanical self-locking mechanism. The new models are also available for tiltrotators.
The Ammann engineers have also ensured greater versatility in the design by creating a flatter structure. The new APA models deliver optimum compaction performance on difficult ground, confined construction sites, or when compacting on slopes.
In the classic compactor range, visitors to the trade fair can look forward to the new, hand-guided ARW 65-S tandem roller, which can be steered easily in any direction. Or the practical, optimized reversible APR 52/75 and APR 58/75 vibratory plates with their excellent running characteristics and reliable compaction performance.
"We are looking forward to RATL 2025. RecyclingAktiv TiefbauLive is unique thanks to its demo formats and attracts an expert audience with many decision-makers," confirms Ohlraun. "The dedicated Karlsruhe trade fair team is creating the perfect setting for groundbreaking developments in the construction industry on the new outdoor site."
Ammann will be showcasing its impressive range of machines at stand F344 on the Peter-Gross-Bau multifunctional site and on the electric mobility demonstration site.
